Dogs have always had a place in prairie life. Whether riding along in the truck, waiting by the barn door or following close behind on a walk down a country road, they are quiet companions through the rhythms of everyday work and home.

Our Beeswax Dog Candle is a small nod to those loyal farmyard friends. With its soft ears and patient stance, the form recalls the familiar silhouette of a spaniel sitting watch, the kind of pooch that might spend the afternoon trotting across the yard or settling in near the porch steps as the day winds down.

Artisan crafted in Canada from pure beeswax, the candle carries the warm golden tone and subtle honeyed scent that make beeswax so loved.

Shaped beeswax candles should always be burnt on a stable, heat resistant surface or on a candle plate to catch any natural wax drips. Because sculptural candles burn as they soften, some wax pooling or dripping is normal.

Avoid burning candles near drafts, open windows or air vents, as moving air will cause uneven burning and excessive dripping.

Always keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch (0.63 cm) before lighting. A long or crooked wick can create a larger flame, uneven burning or smoke.

Never burn a candle near combustible materials and never leave a burning candle unattended.

Discontinue use when approximately 1 cm of wax remains at the base of the candle.

Store candles in a cool, dark, dry place. Natural beeswax may soften or warp if exposed to heat. Prolonged exposure to light may cause natural colour fading.

Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame to prevent hot wax splatter.
