Beeswax Grain Elevator Candle
Across the Prairies, grain elevators once stood as landmarks along railway lines and country roads, rising above fields of wheat, barley and oats. Nearly every prairie town had one, and their silhouettes became part of the landscape and the rhythm of harvest.
In Dan’s hometown of Roblin, Manitoba, he remembers the Manitoba Pool and Cargill elevators that stood beside the tracks for years. During harvest, trucks lined the road as farmers brought in grain from the surrounding fields, the scent of wheat and dust filling the prairie air.
Today many of those wooden elevators are gone, but their presence remains an enduring symbol of prairie life.
This Beeswax Grain Elevator Candle is artisan crafted in Canada as a small tribute to those prairie landmarks. Made from natural beeswax with a soft honeyed glow, it reflects the simple form of the elevators that once dotted towns across Manitoba and the Canadian Prairies.
