Detour - La Bendicion Honey
WHOLE BEAN
Tasting notes: Comice Pear, Molasses, Cranberry Jam
La Bendición Honey is a syrupy, fruit-forward filter coffee with a rich and expressive profile. Notes of dark molasses, juicy Comice pear, and cranberry jam come together to create a cup that's both indulgent and complex.
Grown at 1,300 meters in the Dipilto-Jalapa mountain range of Nueva Segovia, Nicaragua, this Pacamara variety is cultivated on Finca La Bendición, a 252-acre farm owned by Luis Alberto Balladarez. The farm's rich biodiversity, light sandy soil, and consistent rainfall provide ideal conditions for coffee cultivation. After harvesting, the cherries are transported to the Las Segovias Mill, where they're sorted by variety and dried on African beds under controlled conditions.
