The wait has felt endless. Winter held on longer than it should have, stretching across the months in shades of white and grey. But now, something shifts. The air is damp with thawing earth. The days stretch a little longer. The garden, still quiet, is ready to wake.
We kneel in the dirt, sleeves pushed up, hands pressing into soil that finally breathes again. Tiny seedlings, started weeks ago under glowing lights, are ready for their place in the world. Others, carefully chosen from the greenhouse, sit waiting in their trays - tender leaves reaching for the sun. The ritual begins. Dig, place, pat, water. A slow and steady rhythm. The scent of green leaves, broken stems, damp roots. The garden is stirring, and with it, so are we.
Seedling captures the promise of a new season. Fresh and vibrant, it opens with green leaves, carrot, lemon, and galbanum, the crisp scent of a garden waking after months of stillness. Mint, fir needle, rosemary and water notes bring an herbal coolness, like the first deep breath of morning air, laced with the scent of damp soil and dew-covered plants. As it settles, earth, clove leaf, cedarwood, and patchouli ground the fragrance, warm and rich, echoing the life beneath our hands.
A scent of renewal. Of getting back to the earth. Of the quiet joy found in tiny leaves and the promise they hold.
