Spring in Manitoba is never rushed. The land takes its time, shaking off winter’s weight, softening under the sun, stretching toward warmth. It begins in the quiet places where the woods meet open fields, where ditches run alongside gravel roads, where old fence lines mark the edges of long-forgotten homesteads. There, tucked among the grasses and budding shrubs, the wild violets appear. Small but resilient, their deep blue and purple petals stand against the golden light of early spring. They are the first whispers of the season, delicate yet certain, reminding us that the cycle begins again.
Blue Violet is a scent woven from that awakening. The crisp freshness of wild violet and blue willow carries on the wind, met by the subtle spice of coriander and juniper. At its heart, iris and heliotrope bloom, their soft floral notes balanced by clary sage and the grounding touch of leather. A quiet echo of well-worn garden gloves and time spent with hands in the earth. As it lingers, the fragrance deepens into sandalwood, cedarwood, and vetiver, settling like the scent of the Manitoba prairie as the day warms. A trace of tonka bean and musk lingers in the air, earthy and familiar, like the memory of the season long after it has passed.
A love letter to prairies in bloom. Fleeting, unforgettable and deeply rooted in this place we call home.
